Porco
Galliard

Porco was supposed to be the Armored Titan. He was the stronger candidate, and everyone knew it, but his older brother Marcel quietly talked the military out of choosing him to keep him away from the Paradis mission, and the Armor went to Reiner instead. Marcel died on that mission, eaten by the Titan that had once been Ymir, and Porco spent the next decade hating Reiner without knowing his brother had arranged the whole thing. When Ymir was brought back to Marley, Porco inherited the Jaw Titan from her, along with secondhand glimpses of the island years that fed his contempt for Reiner's hero act.

He was a better Warrior than his grudge suggested. At Fort Slava he shielded Reiner from anti-Titan fire without being asked. At Shiganshina he fought Eren twice, had his Titan's jaws used against his will to crack the War Hammer's crystal, and kept getting up from damage that should have finished him. The truth reached him at the end through a memory of Marcel's, mid-battle: his brother had lied to protect him. With Falco rampaging as a mindless Titan and Reiner's nape between the boy's teeth, Porco climbed out of his own Titan and offered himself instead. Falco ate him and inherited the Jaw, and Porco went out on his own terms, certain of the one thing he had always suspected, that he was the better man all along.
